31.12.1944: 'U 547' was decommissioned in Stettin due to the lack of workers and spare parts as well as a precise determination of the damage caused by a mine hit, the boat was taken out of service. It should be supplied to the higher command of the torpeod schools (HKT) as a shooting range boat.
Parts of the crew were intended for U 3532.
