St. Vladimir's Cathedral

This cathedral was built after the Crimean War to honour the defenders of Sevastopol. Their names are inscribed on the marble walls inside. A couple of high ranking Russian naval officers are buried here.

The cathedral itself has an history of its own. The Archbishop and the Archpriest were murdered here by Bolsheviks in 1920. The church was damaged in the Second World War.
