Admiral Tomb St. Vladimir's Cathedral

The crypt below the St. Vladimir's Cathedral holds the tombs of the following Russian admirals who fell in the Crimean War:

Admiral Pavel Nakhimov
Vice Admiral Vladimir Kornilov
Rear Admiral Vladimir Istomin
Admiral Mikhail Lazarev is also buried here.

The crypt was demolished by the Soviets in 1931 and sustained further damage in the Second World War.
