Bushong Barn

This barn was used as field hospital for both Confederate and Union soldiers during the Battle of New Market.
The Battle of New Market took place on 15 May 1864. The battle resulted in a Confederate victory. In the battle, the Union lost 841 men (killed, wounded, missing or captured), the Confederates 520 men.
