Execution Range & Mass Graves Kočevski Rog

This place was scene of the mass exection of between 10,000 and 12,000 people, members of the Croatian Home Guard (Hrvatsko Domobranstvo) and Slovenian Home Guard (Slovensko Domobranstvo) and their families, by special units of the post-war Yugoslav army in May 1945. The victims were thrown into various pits and caves, which were then sealed with explosives.
