Memorial Sergeant C.H. Coffey

Sergeant C.H. Coffey, of the 22nd Indiana, died of wounds on 29 June 1864 during the battle for Cheatham Hill, part of the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain.
The Battle of Kennesaw Mountain took place on 27 June 1864. The Confederates repulsed an Union attack. The Union lost about 3000 men (dead, wounded, missing of captured), the Confederates 1000.
