This museum tells the history of the Northern Fleet Air Force from 1936 to present. There are three main halls. The first hall is devoted to the air warfare during World War Two and in special to the heroic deeds of pilots of the Northern Fleet. The second hall is devoted to the memory of those who gave their lives defending the Polar Land. The third hall is devoted the air technique development in the postwar period.
The museum has also a hanger where aircraft from both World Wars and the postwar period are exhibited, with amongst others the following:
