Grave Konrad Wünsche

The Evangelical cemetery of Kalisz contains the grave of resistance member and etnic German Konrad Wünsche. He served as officer of the 7th Regiment Mounted Rifles in the Polish army and fought against Nazi-Germany during the September campaign (1939). Konrad was an active resistance member since 1943 and was arrested in Mach 1944. He was sentenced to death and shot on 19 January 1945 among with 56 other resistance members in the forrest near Skarszew.
