Memorial Russian Victims Battle of Reims

This monument behind the Saint Remi Abbey commemorates the Russian soldiers who were killed in the Battle of Reims.
The Battle of Reims was fought on 13 March 1814 between the French Empire under command of Napoleon and a Prussian-Russian army under the command of General Emmanuel St.-Priest and resulted in a French victory. The losses on Prussian-Russian side were about 3000 dead and 5000 men captured. General Emmanuel St.-Priest was mortally wounded.
