Memorial Battle of Dennewitz

This monument, a "Schinkel-Tabernacle (Schinkel Pyramid)", commemorates the Battle of Dennewitz. The Battle of Dennewitz took place on 6 september 1813 between the French army and a coalition of Prussian-Russian troops and resulted in a victory for the coalition. On both sides the losses were about 10,000 men (dead, wounded, missing and captured).
