Cemetery for Victims Siege of Hamburg

During the French siege of Hamburg in the winter of 1813/1814, many thousands of citizens of Hamburg were expelled by the French. Despite the good care of the citizens of Altona, which gave them shelter, 1138 people died. They are buried here.
