Grove Park Inn

This hotel was one of the four luxury hotels leased in the Second World War by the US Government the house diplomats from Axis-countries before they were exchaged with American diplomats. From October 1942 on, the US Navy used the hotel as a rest and rehabilitation facility for naval officers. For a short while, the Phillippine government in exile was also housed here.

The hotel has a porteit gallery showing famous people who stayed here. Amongst these are Eisenhower and Roosevelt.
