Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum

This museum is dedicated to the history of Cape Hatteras and the shipwrecks found in the surrounding waters.Among the shipwrecks are several from the Second World War. The museum has some interesting artefacts like a hatch cover, salvaged by divers, of the German submarine U-85 which was sunk off Cape Hatteras in 1942.
