This French blockhouse, B461 Réservoir d'Onnaing, was built in the 1930s. Part of the very thin extension of border defenses that covered Belgium, while the main part of the Maginot Line covered Germany. It was partly covered in earth for both camoflage and protection. There is a sentry's cupola on top and the metal ladder and footrests inside are still in place.
