Napoleon's Column
This memorial on the Place Vendôme commemorates Napoleon Bonaparte (Emperor Napoleon the 1st of France). Its veneer of 425 spiraling bas-relief bronze plates were made out of cannon taken from the combined armies of Europe. On the the top is a statue of Napoleon.
