Crash Site Hawker Typhoon Mk Ib PD476 E
This Hawker Typhoon was hit in the coolant reservoir on February 21 1945 and probably crashed in the inundated polder Klein-Piershil. The pilot Errington bailed out and managed to open his parachute. He was captured and remained in German custody, but survived the war.
