Crash Site Messerschmitt Bf 110-F4 4683 "G9-DK"
Messerschmitt Bf 110-F4 4683 'G9+DK' was shot down on February 3rd, 1943 in combat with Short Stirling Mk I R9197 BU-V from No. 214 (Federated Malay States) Squadron, and crashed 3 kilometres east of Achterveld. Pilot Hauptmann Reinhold Knacke was killed, but his gunner/navigator Feldwebel Kurt Bundrock managed to rescue himself with his parachute. The Short Stirling also crashed, killing all crew members.
