Life in the Jewish houses.
The "Law on the rent and lease to Jews" of 30 April 1939 formed the basis for the isolation of Jews from the non-Jewish population of Hameln and for their shelter in "Jewish houses". In addition, the Jewish residents had to be "compulsorily" interned in relatively few houses, if possible in Jewish ownership.
