Jerome Internment Camp

From 1 September 1942 to July 1944, there was an internment or relocation camp on this location for 6,700 Americans of Japanese ancestry. The camp had a capacity for 10,000 internees. From July 1944 it was used as a prisoner of war camp for Germans.

There is now a memorial on the location of the camp. There are also some remains like a chimney.
