T-34/76 Turret
There are numerous T-34/76 turrets, converted to memorials, spread across the city of Volgograd, indicating the location of former frontlines and other memorable places. This turret is located near 'Lyudnikov's Island'. The text on this memorial reads:
"Here was the forward defensive line of the Stalingrad. This sector of the frontline was bravely defended by detachments of the people´s militia of the Barrikady-quarter together with Red Army units in 1942."
