Fort Ertbrand Kapellen
The Fort of Ertbrand was built in 1908-1912. In August 1914 the fort was full of 500 men at full strength.
This did not last long, when the Germans occupied Antwerp two months later, the fort was evacuated.
After the Second World War it was used by the Belgian mine ministry for the destruction of explosives, mines and ammunition.
