Along the edge of the road between the trees is the memorial for the 1st Battalion of the 517th Parachute Infantry Regiment
It consists of three rough boulders with a memorial plaque in the middle with the text.

517TH PARACHUTE INFANTRY REGIMENT
FORCE BOYLE FORCE FRASER
During the period 23-26 December 1944
men of the 1st battalion
drove nazi forces
from the Soy-Hotton-Lamornemil area.
The battalion incurred 139 casualties
and had 14 men killed.
This marker is dedicated to these men
And the many brave Belgian patriots
