Plaque Crash Location Vickers Wellington Mk III BK348 QB-J

In the garden of the church in Echteld, on the corner of Ooisestraat and Voorstraat, is a plaque bearing the names of five Canadian crew members of the Vickers Wellington Mk III BK348 QB-J, which crashed on 12 March 1943.
Caldwell; Robert George - Pilot Officer - Royal Canadian Air Force - 424 Sqdn.
Cory; Gordon Johnson - Flying Officer - Royal Canadian Air Force - 424 Sqdn.
Larson; Alfred Perry - Sergeant - Royal Canadian Air Force - 424 Sqdn.
Parker; Leslie Alfred - Flight Sergeant - Royal Canadian Air Force - 424 Sqdn.
Topping; William Frederick - Flight Sergeant - Royal Canadian Air Force - 424 Sqdn.

Their remains are buried at the Uden War Cemetery, but wreckage still lies in the ground on the other side of Ooisestraat.
