Commemorative Plate on the front of the church of Elene to remember Idesbald and Boudewijn DELLA FAILLE D'HUYSSE, victims of the Second World War.

Baron Idesbald DELLA FAILLE, mayor of Elene, was shot dead by collaborators on the Kasteeldreef on the night of 12 to 13 August 1944.
His eldest son, Boudewijn, was arrested by the German occupiers and died in Bergen-Belsen on April 6, 1945.
