Crash Site Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress 42-37738
This U.S. B-17G bomber expoded over the Velsen blast furnaces in the night of 22 December 1943. It was hit by Flak in German airspace. Of the ten crew members, only one was killed. The remaining nine were captured.
