This memorial, within the Holy Trinity Church, commemorates the soldiers of the Horse Guards, 2nd Regiment Life Guards and Household Brigade who gave their lives in the Anglo-Boer War (1899-1902). A separate plaque is in memory of Lt.Col. C.F.S. Vandeleur D.S.O. as well. He gave his life on 31 August 1901 in the South-African War (2nd Boer War).
This memorial also commemorates the soldiers of the Brigade of Guards who gave their lives in the Crimean War (1853-1856).
