Memorial Stone Kaunas Pogrom

On a parking place next to Miško street 11 this memorial stone is placed, which commemorates the Kaunas Pogrom. This pogrom took place from 25 till 29 June 1914, during the first days of the German invasion of the Soviet Union. Local civilians caused a massacre of Jewish civilians. On this location, at the Lietūkis garage, several dozens Jewish men were publicly tortured and executed on June 27.
