Memorial Chiune Sugihara
Hanging on the wall of the Kaunas train station is this plaque in commemoration of the Japanese consul Chiune Sugihara. Till his departure from the city from this station, on 4 September 1940, he saved more than 2000 Jews by providing them with travel visas for Japan.
