Memorial Franco-Prussian War

At the end of the Weserwall path is a monument to the dead of the Franco-Prussian War. The monument is polygonal and stands on 3 steps, Four sides carry carved panels, one showing Classical Greek arms and trophies, one the the city coat-of-arms, one carries the dedication inscription and one the names of the dead of the wars of 1866 (1 name) and 1870-1871 (25 names). The rank, name and regiment of each man is given.
The monument is topped with a shallow bowl symbolic of a cauldron for an eternal flame.
