SOE Establishment - STS 51: Ringway (No 1 Parachute Training School)

STS 51: Ringway was an important base used for parachute training during the Second World War. Not only British Army paratroopers were trained here, but also foreign soldiers and secret agents.

On 28 October 1940, the 4th Cadre Rifle Brigade organized its first parachute training at this facility.
