Battery Barlow-Saxton

Battery Leary-Merriam was a part of Fort MacArthur, part of the harbor defense of Los Angeles and was built from 1915 to 1919. The battery was operational until 1943, when it was deactivated. It was equipped with eight 12" mortars.

Nowadays the battery is closed for the public.
