Memorial to the crash location of the B-24 Liberator "Dixie Flyer". There is also a donated propeller of a B-17 at this location.
Text on the memorial :
"On 12 September 1944, the B-24 Liberator "Dixie Flyer" crashed 500 meters south of this place.
There were nine crew members on board, five of whom survived the crash. The 4 deceased are buried at the General Cemetery in Nes.
On November 10, 2001, the then pilot 1st lt. Kenneth E. "Sam" Webster unveiled this board as a reminder of the tragedy."
