Battery GPF

Battery GPF was a part of Fort Pickens, part of the harbor defense of Pensacola and was built in 1942. The battery was operational until 1945, when it was deactivated. The battery contained of fout Panama mounts carrying 155mm guns on mobile carriages.

Nowadays the battery is open to the public. Because the sand is washed away, the Panama mounts are more exposed then original.
