Battery Croghan
Battery Croghan was a part of Fort San Jacinto, which was part of the harbor defense of Galveston and was built in 1900. The battery was operational until 1946. It was equipped with two 3" guns.
Nowadays the battery is open to the public, but it is in bad condition.
