Memorial Edward W. Durst Jr. and Charles Dysko

This propeller is of the F-5 Lightning "The Florida Gator" (42-67119) of the 22nd Photographic Squadron, 7th Photographic Reconnaissance Group that crashed near Ploubalay on 24 July 1944. The pilot, 2nd US Lt. Edward W. Durst Jr., was killed in the crash.
The memorial also commemorates Pvt. Charles Dysko of the 802nd Tank Destroyer Battalion who was killed in action on 7 August 1944.
