The memorials are located in the Bürgerpark next to the Hasseler Steinweg road
Austro-Prussian War
A large stone carries an inscription commemorating those men of Hoya who died in the Battle of Langensalza (almost all fighting in the army of the Kingdom of Hannover) on 27 June 1866. No individuals are named.
Franco-Prussian War
The monument consists of a central panel containing the dedication (To the sons of the region of Hoya 1870-1871’) and panels on either side carrying the lists of names (10 on the left and 8 on the right). The name of each individual is given along with their regiment and the date and location of their death. The monument has little decoration other than small coats of arms of the Counts of Hoya, the King of Prussia and the Duchy of Saxony.
First World War
The dedication is carried on a large pink granite monolith that stands on a plinth of rough stones. It is inscribed with an Iron Cross. Behind this stone is a wide rustic wall made of irregular shaped boulders set in concrete and has 78 names inscribed on 4 black granite panels. The names are listed in the order of the death of the individual and only the name and this date is given.
Second World War
A tall thin stone cross carries the dedication: ‘To the Victims of War 1939-1945’. No names or additional details are inscribed.
