This Friedhof Ohlsdorf Cemetery in Hamburg has many War Graves and Monuments from the First and Second World Wars as well as from the Franco-German War. There is also a separate section for the Jewish Cemetery.
At least 3,500 victims from 28 different countries are buried on the outer edge of the cemetery. They died as prisoners and forced labourers in various Concentration, Prisoner of War and Labour camps, were executed in or victims of other killing campaigns.
In their memory, a pyramid-shaped Memorial containing the nationalities of the victims and a wall topped with a relief have been erected for them.
