German War Cemetery Kloster Arnsburg

This war cemetery is located within the monastery. There are 450 graves from World War II, of German soldiers, prisoners of war from Russia, Poland and Romania and 87 victims from the Arbeitserziehungslager Hedernheim who were executed by the SS on March 25, 1945. Among the dead were 81 women including the Dutch Leentje van der Elst.
