The Commonwealth War Cemetery Bucharest is situated along the Bucuresti-Ploiesti motorway, between Tancabesti and Comono. A total of 90 Commonwealth military lie here at rest of which 87 airborne forces, 2 soldiers and 1 sailor of the commercial marine. All of them died during the Second World War.
There is also a special memorial to one Indian soldier of the First World War buried in Bucharest German Protestant Cemetery, whose grave is lost
In the middle of the cemetery there is a monument in the shape of a stone cross with an English sword and a a stone memorial with the text:
"This land was generously offered by the Romanian people for a cemetery for the sailors, soldiers and aviators, whose memory is honoured here."
The military origin from Great Britain (80), Canada (2), New Zeeland (1), South-Africa (5) and other country's (2). Each year on November 11th comemmorative services are held on the Cemetery.
