Memorial Polish Camp Hodgemoor Wood

Polish soldiers of the 3rd Carpathian Division, who returned from Italy after the Second World War, lived here until 1962.

Text on the memorial:
After the 2nd World War Polish soldiers of 3rd Carpathian Division arrived here from Italy and with their families lived in a camp on this site until 1962. Poland was not free for them to return. There are still many Polish families in the area.

Little remains of the camp are also visible.
