Memorial Died Prisoners Effry

From March to October 1917, 668 imprisoned civilians and soldiers from Belgium, France, Italy, Romania and Russia died because of the poor treatment in a hospital that was housed on this location in a number of industrial buildings which were claimed by the VIIth German Imperial Army. They are buried in the war cemetery nearby.
