War Memorial Beius

This monument was erected as a commemoration to the battles for the liberation of the town Beius in the autumn of 1944. It was erected by an initiative of World War Two veterans.

It is a simple, though massive monument. The concrete platform carries a 5 meter high stone column. The upper part bears a military decoration. At the middle of the column the inscription "Eternal glory to the Romanian soldiers fallen for the liberation of the country of the fascist domination" has been placed.
