This bunker WH 11 Regelbau 107b (Doppel-MG-Kasematte) is a component of the Westwall (Siegried Line) and is constructed in order of the Aachen-Saar-Programm 1939. Dillingen was scene of heavy fighting in the end of 1944, as the U.S. troops were trying to establish a bridgehead across the Saar. This bunker has war damage from those fightings, including grenade impacts inflicted by an U.S. tank destroyer.
