The monument to the victims of both wars is located at the Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Immaculate-Receipt Church.
Abele is a border village, so all inscriptions are in both Dutch and French.
At the front of the plinth:
"To his heroes
1914 - 1918 "
On the sides are the names of the fighters (17) and the other side the killed civilians (10).
After the 2nd world war a plate was added at the bottom:
1940 ABEELE 1945
To his war victims ", followed by 10 names.
