Casemate Mont des Bruyères

The Cimetière du Mont des Bruyères casemate in the Escaut sector (Maginot Line) is an infantry casemate with one shooting room and a lower floor.

The armament consisted of two double machine guns, a 47mm anti-tank gun, 2 embrasures for a light machine gun and a fixed turret for observation and close defense.

The casemate is furnished and often open during the weekend and the Journées du Patrimoine in September.
