War Memorial Desvres

This memorial (Monument aux Morts) commemorates the residents of Desvres who gave their lives in the First World War and the Second World War.

On both sides and the back of the monument are also names of fallen soldiers during the First and Second World War. Due to the color of the letters in combination with the material of the stones of the monument, most of the names are barely legible. Loose plaques on both sides and back bear the names of civilian victims, residents of Desvres who died as a result of forced labor and resistance fighters who did not survive the war.
