Festung Posen - Fort IXa (Witzleben) Poznań
Fort IX was a component of fortress Poznań and is constructed in the period 1879 - 1880 and was used as a munition storage during the German occupation of Poland. Together with Fort IX, this fort was taken by the Red Army after heavy fighting in the begin phase of the battle of Posen in 1945.
