Fort II was built in the 80s of the 19th century as component of the Warsaw fortress. It was bombed by German dive bombers in September 1939 (picture 2 was taken shortly after the bombardment). During the German occupation of Poland, the fort was used as storage for the Wehrmacht. It was successfully raided by a group of Socialist resistance members in 1943.
