Fortress Warsaw - Fort XII (Antoninów)
Fort XII was built in the 80s of the 19th century as component of the Warsaw fortress. It saw action during the battle of Warsaw in the night of 24 on 25 september 1939. The Germans modernised the fort in the summer of 1944 and saw again fierce fighting a few months later.
The fort today:
It currently abandoned and for the most part destroyed.
