Ruins Kraftwerk Vogelsang

The construction of this plant began in 1943 in order of Albert Speer to support the war industry, but was never completed. It was mainly built by jews and prisoners of war.

The battle for Kraftwerk Vogelsang

The fighting for this complex were heavy and lasted from February to April 1945. Hundreds of Volkssturm/Wehrmacht and Soviet soldiers were killed in the battle. Untill the day of today, there are still everywhere scars from that war on the plant.
